Taizé is an ecumenical monastic community in France that has drawn thousands of young people to make pilgrimages there for worship, prayer, and study – renewal of spiritual life. Many of the songs originated at Taizé have found beloved places in our repertoire, songs like Jesus, Remember Me; O Lord, Hear my Prayer; and Come and Fill Our Hearts.

Come discover worship in the style of Taizé at Hope on November 8. This will be an ecumenical gathering featuring community prayer, song, silence, and personal reflection. The time will be full of beautiful music, creating a calming and soothing experience. Please feel free to bring family and friends.

The event begins with and optional community meal at 5:30 pm (no need to bring anything – just come!), continues with optional open song practice at 6:15, and then the prayer begins at 7:00 with a time of silence.

Taizé prayers take place on the second Friday of every month at various church locations. Check out TaizeYYC on Facebook for ongoing updates and future locations.
