Stepping Stones:

supporting the reconciliation journeys of the young people in our lives

Canada will celebrate its first official National Day for Truth & Reconciliation on September 30th. To recognize this important day, please join us for an interactive free webinar focused on supporting the reconciliation journeys of the young people in our lives.

We know that some students will have the day off school in recognition of the holiday so we’ll be incorporating a variety of age-appropriate activities into the session, including colouring pages, story time, Ceremony, and contemporary Indigenous music.

This session will feature an amazing panel of Indigenous and Settler speakers who will reflect on their own experiences and approaches to reconciliation with young people:

  • Justin Jimmy, Chair of the Calgary Aboriginal Urban Affairs Committee and Senior Accountant at Humanity Financial

  • Dr. Michael Lickers, Indigenous Scholar in Residence at Royal Roads University and Senior Advisor of Indigenous Relations at Suncor

  • Michelle Fournie, Board Member of the Indigenous Gathering Place Society of Calgary and Manager of Iniikokan Centre at Bow Valley College

  • Sandi Morrisseau, Board Member of Miskanawah and Indigenous Relations Advisor at Strad Inc.

  • Dayna Morgan, Board Member & New Education Director of Canadian Association of Petroleum Landmen and COO & Innovation Designer at BRITT Radius

  • Hannele Gordon, Project Director at WilderFutures and Wee Wild Ones & Of the Wild Nature School
