Inn From the Cold
Child homelessness affects the future of everyone. IFTC is working to break the cycle of homelessness
and build a community where no child or family is homeless. For over 20 years, IFTC has been
developing a progressive model of care which has changed thousands of people’s lives for the better—
they are committed to continuing to innovate to help more families in need. IFTC programs mitigate
trauma, build confidence, and guide families towards independence and away from social supports.
Hope Lutheran Church has been a long-time supporter of IFTC and we hope to continue. If you wish to
make a financial donation to IFTC in January or February, you may place it in your offering envelope
(write cheque to Hope Lutheran Church and indicate amount for IFTC.)
2022 is a big year for Inn from the Cold - they will be celebrating their 25th anniversary! Since 1997,
they have been transforming the lives of countless vulnerable families in Calgary and moving closer to
the vision of a community where no child or family is homeless. All with thanks to their dedicated
volunteers like you.
This year will also see them move into a new purpose-built home located at 706 7 Avenue S.W. This
innovative partnership with Home Space will allow them to better serve the families they support with
new emergency shelter space, programming space, transitional and affordable housing.
We collected $900 throughout January and February to support this charity - thank you Hope family!
