Victor was born in Ukraine on May 18,1938. At age 14, he became a cabinet maker’s apprentice. The family, which now included a sister, Linda, and two brothers, Michael and Albert, immigrated to Canada in 1954. Victor joined St. John’s Lutheran Church. He dearly loved to sing, and he had the good fortune to meet his future bride and the great love of his life Brigitte in the church choir. They married on May 6, 1961 and had 64 full & incredible years together. Utilizing his extraordinary carpentry skills, he built their first home in Forest Lawn. Through talent & sheer determination, Victor became Director of Maintenance for Calgary Housing. Together, Victor and Brigitte raised 4 children and were blessed with 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Today, we thank God for Victor’s life — for the laughter, the craftsmanship, and for his charismatic personality which could bring a smile to anyone’s face.
