I have been Music Director for Hope since 2014. My role includes accompanying worship services, coordinating our other accompanists at Hope, directing and accompanying our choir, and helping plan our musical component at Hope (along with our Worship and Music Committee). Our choir is a non-auditioned group of congregation members who love to sing and prior music education is not a requirement!
My music education background is through the Royal Conservatory of Music—I am in the final stages of my ARCT (Piano Performance) completion and have also completed 2 years of music study at the University of Calgary and several years of cello study at Mount Royal University and private instruction.
Hope is my second stint as a Music Director; my first being with Faith Lutheran Church in Calgary for 8 years. I have been a member of the Calgary Civic Symphony for almost 20 years (piano and cello) and have accompanied several different choirs and soloists mostly in Calgary but some in France, and Norway.
